Commission for Gareth Brierley, who rocks! with commission ideas,

this is my first go at eldar dark or otherwise and I'm pretty clueless as to the mythos so be gentle.

I love it! My only complaint would be that the Banshee is a bit too bulky and the blade is a tad bit un-Eldar in my humble opinion. Otherwise, it's pretty AWESOME

Glad to see all the positive responses mate. This is a great piece which you did for me and I look forward to tasking you over the next year and possibly the one after with producing a number of duels that I have in mind based around a single theme. Best thing is they will be able to go on here and unlike the other artwork I have commissioned to be one offs, these will be open for others to buy and appreciate.

awesome pic, Dark Eldar make even Eldar Banshees look clumsy by comparison. I like the bizarre tube of sorts extending from the Dark Eldar Wych's navel, and honestly, the level of detail vrs speed that this image has. Very dynamic but lots of tidbits here and there

After such a picture it is obvious you should do the new Dark Eldar Incubi vs an Eldar Striking Scorpion.

This is just amazing. I loved the details overall , and its a nice touch that behind the banshee there is light, whereas behind the wych there is darkness. One thing I think you missed though is the grace of the eldar race. Banshee's arms are way too thick, shoulders too large and the sword is very crude and huge. She looks like a space marine with a narrow waist. And I think her hair looks like a lion's mane, just a big neat mass of hair, whereas it should be a big ****ing crazy wailing scary mass of hair (maybe if you made the hair less obedient to gravity, and evenly distribute the hair mass- right now the majority is on her back). I dont know much about wyches but that looks like one crazy mean bych so I think you are on the right track, but still her shoulders are way too wide and her trapezius way too well-defined to be and eldar chick. I know that we expcet warrior women to be stong and muscled but I don't think even eldar males should have this kind of heavy build. I love your work overall, you definitely are my favorite wk40k artist on dA, you have a great feel for space marines. I think you would behoove you to draw eldar more gracefully. Suggestion I can offer are : please draw a neck, elongate the limbs, no large pauldrons, narrower shoulders, And dont forget that eldar helmets usually have an elongation to upper-back - giving them the smart alien feel. The high part of your banshee's mask is like a crown, rather than an elongation; and it is straight upwards, eldar always could use more curves. I'm sorry for any I might have made and I want to thank you for sharing your amazing work with us.
