I've always tried to be as accessible as possible when it comes to commissions and producing art and it was pointed out to me the other day that people generally have a lot less disposable income these days, with that in mind A. I Don't wan't anyone to feel they can't afford a piece of art by me and B. The more picture's I can sell the better. So I've added a Slot into the picture prices that can cater to the lower price bracket with pictures at £20-£40 and £40-£60, these will entail concepts and sketches.
The good news is that get a pretty decent sketch out, pretty fast, hence, cheap! The bad news is.....there is no bad news this is all good right?
I'd also love to hear what you guys have to say on picture prices and buying or selling art, you're the ones I'm trying to appeal to so if there's anything you think might help, sound off.
Sketchy portraits = £10 per head
Concept sketch =£20-£40
Quick Picture sketch =£40-£60
Single character = £75 - £100
High detail character/s = £100 - £200
Beasty pics = £10 hourly rate.
So these are more just guide lines to go by, I'd price up each piece individually based on how much work goes into it but as a general rule the more characters and detail the picture has the more expensive it will be.
Hope this helps anyone who's interested and feel free to sling me a note if you wanna know a bit more about anything.
